This mirrored reality

crack the skin.

A poignant gift
That sets
The spirit free…

And without a thought
I claw and claw
And peel away:

What I wouldn’t do,
To drive that blade,
To feel the pain!

So horrifically, I pierce!
And release:
this building pressure.

An explosive force
That frees the mind,
But tears the soul.

A vile weapon -
A painful way to die -
A spinning ring,
That burns the sky.

The cacophony of war sings
Its sorrowful song:
Be not afraid!

Do you feel the air?
Do you feel it shift?
The weight of this world is a crushing curse:
Melt in the face of eternity!

Do you know this sound?
Do you not recognize its waves?
This ripple in time of a life long past
It shakes, and breaks the world.
